It was good to see many residents attend the recent NDR exhibition at Taverham Village Hall on April 25th. The Lib Dems were also there (April Pond, James Joyce, Peter Sergeant, Julia Holland) to seek answers for our concerned residents in Broadland.
Whilst the exhibition gave a good visual view of the site, we are concerned over the following points: Traffic modelling data is out of date and has not yet been updated - this is an urgent issue before any proposals can be finalised as the impact to existing routes is paramount if the road is the achieve its aim of alleviating traffic from these areas without causing adverse affects to other routes!
Future-proofing: If there is future housing what are the anticipated volumes of traffic and how will this affect routes. This is obviously aside from the impact that developments will have on stretched local facilities
Is a three-quarter route really going to bring enough benefits for the disruption that it will cause?
The Liberal Democrat campaign team is currently working hard to find answers to these questions. If you have additional concerns please contact us.
