Lib Dems form strategic partnership to run Broadland Council
Following the successful elections in May, the Broadland Liberal Democrat councillors have formed a strategic alliance to run the council for the next 4 years.
Group Leader, Sue Holland, is the new leader of the council and as part of the cabinet, Councillors Dan Roper - Transformation and Efficiency, Stuart Beadle- Planning and Steve Riley - Finance, will be working with the their colleagues from the Labour and Green groups to shape the new 4 year plan for our area.
"It was a relatively easy agreement to make" says Sue, " all three groups have similar manifestos and our main priorities are to improve housing provision for our young people and all residents, along with a commitment to Environmental measures to support infrastructure which will relieve and reshape Broadland's response to the Climate Emergency."
At the AGM on Thursday May 25th, our Taverham North Councillor, Caroline Karimi-Ghovanlou, was elected Chair of the Council for 2023/4.
There is much for our councillors to do and we wish them every success while looking forward to regular news and updates here over the coming months.
